A Comparison -- DHMO vs. a PPO
A DHMO (Dental Health Maintenance Organization) is for People Who Prefer From a Network, whereas a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) is for People Who Prefer to Select Their Own Dentist.
Here are some bullet point differences:

A Traditional dental plan (PPO):
· Choose to see any dentist.
· The plan has a relative high Annual Maximum Benefit.
· Some waiting periods on work. (ask for specifics)
· Wide range of dental services, including cleaning, crowns, bridge work, and much more.
· Plan pays a percentage of your dental care for Reasonable and Customary charges.
· You can obtain discounts if your dentist participates in the plan.

A DHMO:
· Choose from a Large Network of Dentists
· No Annual Maximum Benefit
· No Waiting Period on Most Work (ask)
· Orthodontia Coverage
· No claim forms
· No Deductible
