Marines at Iwo Jima -- Firefighters at NYC -- comparisonOn September 11th, 2001, an attack on the World Trade Center towers and Pentagon changed the world as we know it. Although it was a horrendous act of atrocity, I hope it has confirmed our resolve to remember our roots and stand up for what's right in this country. It is an ironic privilege to write this during this time.

The fuel for our nation's prosperity has been freedom to live and work to realize our dreams, to do what is beneficial for our loved ones, our neighbors, and ourselves. The fuel of our country's prosperity has been freedom, but its engine is undoubtedly the innovation and creativity of our citizens, most of us immigrants from a host of other countries.

The work philosophy at Compass Point Media is based on that same hard work and creativity, and a desire to see creativity not just for prosperity's sake, but to exercise that strength within us to do the right thing in EVERY aspect of our lives. I think this is a great time for the Internet and IT community to drive this country forward economically, to show our strength and resolve in our own homeland, just as the men and women in the armed forces are bravely doing overseas.

We recognize and salute those programmers and designers within this Community who understand this and who are doing their part to show what freedom does in our lives and the history of nations.

During the 1999-2000 internet boom, we saw that many of the business models for the web were not accurate. We realized that e-commerce was not yet easy enough for the average user. We also realize there is a tremendous pool of dedicated talent out there, each with ideas of how to make things better for all of us. I think it's important, though, to remember the Source of the blessings we have. For historical reference I have included some of the proclamations of President Lincoln during the civil war.

Summary

Our desire ever since then, and even more so now, has been to help fuel our economy not as an end in itself but for the purpose of making our lives freer. To achieve this end:

1. We will stay abreast of the issues of internet security and privacy, and any other developments that affect the integrity of you or your client's information. Because of the public nature of the internet, this will always be our primary concern.
2. We will provide maturity, hard work and diligence of the pursuit of your project-we realize that we are being paid for what we know as well as what we do, and we will prove our knowledge with our effectiveness.
3. We will create Websites and Web Applications with a realistic view to the overall needs of your company based on your growth plans. The work done will both complement your business and challenge it to a new level of success. Included in this is our commitment to education on the cost vs. benefit of every aspect of your solution.
4. We will stay abreast of the latest developments in the inevitable automation of the internet in e-commerce, information exchange, and web-based services. We will present your site and data in a way that is meaningful to these services to the degree possible at the time.

Please feel free to contact us at any time with questions; we are listening to all things going on on the Web, including our clients' comments.
